Part 78: Landing on Heracles

Wasting no time, we go right after Alexei!

The PS3 version triggers a new cutscene here as soon as we start moving in Heracles' direction.

Watch the cutscene!

Captain Schwann was always referred to as the commandant's right-hand man. Even among the knights, it was rare to catch sight of him. Everyone said all of his missions were top secret.

Even as his right-hand man, Raven became Alexei's sacrificial pawn.
Guess that means he's entering the last phases of his plan. Seems like the old man was just looking for a place to die. Alexei, that bastard. He knew that and used it to his advantage.
Alexei is just like a rotten fish.

...
It doesn't matter. Saving Estelle takes priority right now. Got it?
Of course.
Yeah.
Heracles is heading towards the imperial capital, isn't it?

Everyone, keep your eyes open wider than a deep-sea fish so we won't miss it!

But anyway, let's actually get on Heracles, shall we?

Watch the cutscene!

Look!

They're dead if they get too close to Heracles.
Well, it is Flynn. I wouldn't think he'd be crazy enough to ram that thing head on... Even so, their little fleet doesn't stand a chance against that fortress.

What?! Wait, let's think this over a little more...
Ba'ul, take us up! Hold on tight or you'll be shaken off.
Th-they're shooting at us!
Ba'ul!

Okay, that's the spot! Do you think he can get us there?
He's a little hurt that you'd even ask.
Heh, sorry. All right. It's up to him.
Take us in, Ba'ul.
Let's go!

Uaaaaaaaagh!

In the PS3 version, it's Sodia leading the fleet against Heracles, since Flynn is still with you.

Watch the cutscene! (I recommend watching this.)

All the guards are down...
So that's why the cannon fire from this section was so weak.
Someone's here...

That's right, I say!
This time it's curtains for you!

...The Schwann Brigade? Still gunning for Alexei after everything that's happened?
We Knights must do as our pride demands!
...Come on you guys, leave us alone!
Seriously!

What sort of face do ya mean? Must be some poor sap with a pretty ugly mug.

Raven...!
Hey...old man!
Raven!
It's you...!

What? So happy ta see me, cat's got your tongue?

Gee, glad to see you, too.

Sir!
Yes, sir!
Yes, sir!

Raven...
Okay, it's up to you guys from here.
How can you say that?! There's no way we can trust you!
Don't try to pretend you forgot what you did, old man.
I see. Well then do me a favor and put me down quick.

Hey! What are you trying to prove?!
I didn't think I cared that much about livin', but before I knew it, I was waist deep in all this. If I have ta be done in by you guys here, well, there're worse ways I could go.
Now that you've turned on Alexei, your blastia could be shut down anytime. So you might as well die here... Is that what you mean?

So what is a dead guy like yourself doing here, anyway? Raven, you came here to settle accounts with us, didn't you?

From now on, whether you live or die depends on us.

Heh heh. That's perfect, Yuri.

Agh!

Uaaagh!

I didn't want to feel left out.

Raven. Do you know where Alexei's hiding?
Uh... I guess he'd be in the war room...
Let's go, then.
All right.

Yuri, Karol, Rita, Judith, and Patty turn around and start going ahead.

Hm? Yeah, I seem to have survived somehow thanks to Leblanc and his guys. Kinda embarrassing.
So it really was you.
I gave you a rotten turn, too. You can punch me if you want.
I followed the Commandant's orders, just like you.
I see.

Yes.

And that's that. Raven isn't going down that easily, we'll (have to) put up with his antics for a long time to come! Next time, we'll explore Heracles.
